A beautiful story has led to a beautiful film.
Song writer & film maker Simon Eugene went off to India in search of renowned spiritual leader and Yoga guru Swami Satyananda, founder of the Bihar School of Yoga, to try to interview him for a documentary he was making on the subject of love. With Satyananda having long retreated into isolation, Simon was assured by most people that his task was an impossible one. But he managed to meet him and was then invited off on a magical tangent, to stay longer and film a record of an ancient, holy tantric festival that was about to take place in the ashram. The Sat Chandi Mahayajna.

Including beautiful interviews with Swami Niranjan, Satyananda's successor, and Swami Satsangi, his chief disciple in charge of the Rikhia ashram, and with special footage of Satyananda himself, Love and the Art of Giving offers a magical insight into the spirit and humour of this most holy of occasions, as well as exploring some of the deeper meanings behind the rituals, the wider aspects of Yoga, and capturing the thoughts and feelings of those that attend the festival from around the world. http://www.satchandi2007.com/
