Rebecca Rosen Bio:
Rebecca Rosen was dancing before she could walk. Ten years ago,
Rebecca turned to Yoga on a break from Dance. She quickly became a
dedicated Yogi. Her practice reconnected her fine tuned physical self
with her underserved emotional/spiritual self in a process driven
mirror free environment. Meditation & Yoga ignited her burning
desires, and defined her sacred bliss. Thanks to this synergy of
physical strength & cereberal/spiritual energy, Rebecca began more
gracefully & joyfully leaping through life and as a result created
Nefesh Bliss.

Shalom Yoga offers a series of yoga, relaxation and meditation classes
and workshops designed to create and cultivate a sense of Shalom--Peace.
All Shalom Yoga programs begin with the belief that we each possess a tranquil and complete inner self that is our true self and our true connection to the divine. As we move through our lives we often lose our awareness of this Shalom, this complete and harmonious center, and become distracted by the stressors and challenges of everyday life.

Using the tools of yoga practice and the teaching of Judaism, Shalom Yoga programs help to peel away the layers that separate us from our inner world of tranquility and contentment. Moving the body encourages us to experience ourselves and the world in a new and fulfilling way as we release physical tension and develop strength and balance. Incorporating the concept of shalom into class content students are encouraged to be at peace with themselves, to honor and nurture their bodies and spirit by moving gently and mindfully

YOGA PHILOSOPHY

WITH GEORG FEUERSTEIN

Traditional Yoga Studies (TYS) is offering two distance-learning courses on Yoga, designed and tutored by Georg Feuerstein, Ph.D., who is well known for his contributions to the East-West dialogue. His over 30 books include The Shambhala Encyclopedia of Yoga, The Yoga Tradition, Holy Madness, The Deeper Dimension of Yoga, and Yoga Morality (forthcoming) .

Each diploma course includes a comprehensive typeset manual (printed on recycled paper), which comprises readings, questions for reflection, practical exercises, suggested reading, questionnaires, and numerous illustrations. The courses have attracted many students from around the world, some of whose testimonials can, along with more information about the courses, be found online at www.traditionalyogastudies.com/

Each course has a number of homework assignments but can also be taken without this option. Homework is submitted by email for tutorial feedback.

800-Hour Course on the Philosophy, History
and Literature of Yoga

Although challenging, this course offers the most comprehensive intro-duction to Yoga available today. It is based on Georg Feuerstein's 500-page work The Yoga Tradition (2d edition, Hohm Press). It comes with a 1,000-page typeset and illustrated manual, which took well over 3,000 hours to create. The curriculum can be inspected online. A limited number of scholarships are available for this course.

250-Hour Course on Patanjali's Classical Yoga

The Yoga-Sutra offers the most coherent philosophical framework of Yoga and is studied by thousands of sincere students worldwide. This course, which comes with a 387-page typeset and illustrated manual, makes Patanjali's philosophy readily accessible and also shows how it can be applied on a day-to-day basis. See our online information by visiting TRADITIONAL YOGA STUDIES online.
