Yoga instructor pulls Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 while walking upside down at campaign rally

On Tuesday, a yoga instructor pulled a Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 while walking upside down. He did it for the All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam or All India Anna Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam campaign. He said he did it because he wanted to raise awareness of yoga and its health benefits alongside the election campaign. According to him, he pulled the small sedan 800 meters by stepping on his hands. The name of the yoga instructor was Chatrapathy.

Chatrapathy said, “Yoga is dormant in Coimbatore because there is no fervor among the people. I wanted to make them aware of the benefits of Yoga on health. Children and the elderly should start practicing yoga ”,

Speaking of the car itself, it was the well-known Maruti Suzuki Alto 800 that was one of the best-selling cars in the Indian market. The automaker has sold nearly 4 million units of the Alto 800. It’s a small hatchback for families on a budget.

It comes with a naturally aspirated 3-cylinder 799cc petrol engine that meets BS6 emissions standards. It produces a maximum power of 48 PS and a maximum torque of 69 Nm. It is mated to a 5-speed manual gearbox and no automatic transmission is offered. However, you can also get it with a factory-fitted CNG variant known as S-CNG. It’s the same engine that runs on CNG. When running on CNG, the engine produces 41 PS of maximum power and a maximum output torque of 60 Nm.

The sedan’s curb weight is only 730 kg. Thus, these power outputs seem sufficient for the low-budget sedan. One of the strengths of the sedan is fuel efficiency. The Alto 800 delivers an ARAI mileage of 22.05 km / h on gasoline and an impressive 31.59 km per kg for the CNG variants.

The Alto 800 is offered in four variants, namely Std, LXi, VXi and VXi +. It starts from Rs. 2.99 lakhs ex-showroom and goes up to Rs. 4.48 lakhs ex-showroom. It rivals the Datsun redi-Go and the Renault Kwid. Braking functions are provided by front disc brakes and rear drums. The tire size the hatchback uses is a section of 145 on 12 inch rims.

The hatchback comes with two-tone interiors and a three-spoke steering wheel. It receives fixed headrests for all four seats. As standard, you get tubeless tires, a driver’s side airbag, rear parking sensors, seat belt reminders, a speed alert system, anti-lock braking system, and electronic brake force distribution. The basic variant is quite bare. It doesn’t even come with power steering, air conditioning with heating, body-colored bumpers, power front windows, rear seat headrests, and child locks. You’ll need to upgrade to at least the LXi variant to get these features and we think they’re important as well.

The Alto 800 comes with keyless entry, central door locking, front speakers, rear tray and internally adjustable exterior mirrors. The lower variant’s infotainment system comes with USB, Aux-in, and Bluetooth, while the high-end variant features a 7-inch touchscreen infotainment system that comes with Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.
